It is a high wear item since it is in direct contact with the aggregate mixture and movement of the concrete causes heavy friction along the surface by abrasive material. In order to accommodate as much lifespace as possible, the metal selected is low in tensile strength (for metal) and high in abrasive resistence; However, expect to replace this part every 3 months in high production scenarios. The centripedal force is concentrated along a limited height on the outside; thus the height of the liner is much less than the full height of the pan.
